yet another state senate scandal
Channel 2’s new investigative reporter, Trent Seibert, has his first hard-hitting story up on his new website.
Democratic State Senator Jerry Cooper’s only worries aren’t the allegedly fradulent land deal for which he’s been indicted. Seibert has now uncovered $35,000 in undisclosed payments over the last few years from the owner of a payday loan company and his lobbyist wife.
Tennessee has long been notorious for its loose loan shark laws. And, if true, this might show why, since until recently Cooper headed the Senate Commerce Committee, which has oversight of lending laws.
This is just another example of the Tennessee Legislature not looking out for your interests. That’s why we need a change in leadership.
Be sure to check out Seibert’s story.

This latest scandal, if true, just goes to furthur prove that. […]

“Elect Bob Krumm because he is not as scandalous as the other guy” is a lousy way to get elected. Haven’t we had enough of this?
When will we get politicians we can actually be excited about? Bob Krumm has me about as exctited as I am to see the next rerun of Lawrence Welk.
