    is this really news?

    Lately I’ve found the Tennessean to be a much better paper than it had been.  Trent Seibert has been a great investigative reporter since he arrived from Colorado.  Bonna de la Cruz has also been churning out quality work, as has Lee Ann O’Neal and Brad Schrade.

    On Tuesday, however, the Tennessean blundered when it ran this story.  On the front page.  Above the fold:

    Sarah, Travis say it’s over

    Why even buy the paper if that qualifies as news?
