Nine-year-old daughter: Dad, do you have President’s Day off?
Dad: No, I’m not a President.
9YOD: But what if you become a senator?
Dad: Then I’ll take Senator’s Day off.
Which caused me to think that every day that a legislator takes a holiday, is a holiday for the rest of us because they’re not spending our money.
