Bosnia thirteen years later
Read the whole Christopher Hitchens piece about Bosnia circa 1992-1996 if you need a reminder of the mendacity of the Clintons. It brought to mind one other question:
Since Hillary has promised to remove American forces from Iraq, what about the American military still in Bosnia–12 years after her husband promised they would be gone?
If you don’t remember this speech, watch it again. It’s when President Clinton addressed the nation from the Oval Office in late 1995 after the Dayton Peace Accords were signed and he sent American forces into the former Yugoslavia with the promise that they would be gone by December 1996–a date coincidentally timed so that his success in that endeavor would be measured after his reelection.
Actually, it’s a good address and puts into proper context the role of American might in a troubled world. Hillary and Barack would be well advised to take a lesson from Bill.

Hrmm…can you think of any parallels to Clinton’s telling the people that we’ll be out in a year?
Oh, I don’t know, like a certain administration saying that we’ll be greeted as liberators and that Iraqi oil revenues will pay for reconstruction?
