Pay to stay
UPDATE: It’s over.
After I wrote my post-mortem on the Fred Thompson campaign yesterday I was chastised by more than one person for performing an autopsy on the living.
I wish I believed that. Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong. But before you throw stones at me for pointing out what I believe to be a rather obvious truth, tell me, what have you done to support Fred?
If you want Fred to stay in the race you have to pay for it. Talk is cheap. I’ll pledge $1,000 of my own if Fred can raise $1 million today. Ron Paul raised that much yesterday and he had just one-fourth the support that Fred did in South Carolina. So surely, there are enough Fredheads out there to scratch together a paltry million bucks.
Here’s your chance to tell Fred to stay in the race. Put up or shut up.
UPDATE:
Here’s some incentive: Huckabee about to drop out of the race.
