Ron Paul raises the fundraising roof
Almost $2.4 million in about 16 hours works out to about $80,000 $150,000 an hour, or more than twenty bucks a second–and the day’s not yet over. That’s a pretty impressive one-day take. Especially as the fundraising isn’t occurring as the result of a high-priced dinner or hollywood-style show.
For all the nutty shenanigans of Ron Paul’s online legions, they’re backing up their beliefs with real cash (albeit, cash not backed by a gold standard).
UPDATE:
I’ve been watching Paul’s fundraising totals, and have seen him raise more than $200,000 in less than an hour. Very impressive. He won’t win, but unlike Hunter, Tancredo, and maybe even Huckabee, he won’t be ignored either. It’s too bad that this money isn’t going to a more viable candidate.
It’s also too bad that Fred Thompson, who on Federalism (where I do agree with the learned doctor) is closer to Paul’s position than any of the others, hasn’t found a way to connect with some of those voters/donors.

[…] Day promotion. The goal was to set a record for one day online fundraising and set it they have. Bob Krumm has to give the grassroots campaign some begrudging respect: That’s a pretty impressive one-day take. […]

Yea, how much of that is from Seymour Butts and company? I’m really suspicious of online campaign money. Seems to follow Soros-style candidates

If only Fred could forge some sort of relationship with Alex Jones, Stormfront, and the Vanguard News Network.
Then, maybe then, he could tap into that rich vein of Ron Paul’s White Power political machine.

Fred’s polling problems are Fred Thompson’s fault. He has had all the opportunity in the world to connect with the voters by making impassioned speeches in favor of individual rights and the Constitution…but he has not bothered.
It is so right to note that the $4Million given to Ron Paul yesterday is because we want that message to get out and we might even consider going with Fred Thompson if he could get half the personality of Ron Paul and half the interest in talking about individual rights.
And, since 25% of Republican women want to vote for Hillary and 25% of Democrat males refuse to vote for her…the smart candidate will take on Men’s Rights Issues and even Father’s Rights Issues and run with that ball.
Just do a Google search for those issues. If a mainstream candidate picked up on that, he would get stratospheric results and defuse Ron Paul’s luster.
But they are scared of feminists. They think that all women are feminists when the opposite is true.

Think about it: Aren’t you wondering how you might pick up $4Million in a single day? I sure am. I am jealous.
Now let’s ask ourselves what Fred Thompson might be thinking right now.
Is he thinking “Hmmm…sprinkle the word freedom with the word Constitution and add a dash of No Internet Regulation and individual rights and voila, I could make $4 Million in one day as well maybe”?
Unless he has sand between the ears, that is what he is thinking today.
Who wants to bet on whether he has sand between the ears or not?
