Perception is reality

Sunday’s Tennessean carried a front page story about the state’s two favorite sons that voters may ask to carry each party’s flag:  In a Thompson-Gore race, state would win.

Were that to happen, the ultimate irony is that one of the two would be thought of as the out-of-state Hollywood elite candidate, and the other would be Virginia resident and actor, Fred Thompson.
