knuckled ribs

Byline: | Category: Uncategorized | Posted at: Monday, 12 June 2006

I just came back from lunch on the Mothership.  Awesome ribs.  Really awesome!  And they’re a dry rub, not that sticky kind that you can’t eat when you have to go back to work after lunch.

I work in the Berry Hill area, and this part of town could definitely use some more lunch choices.  Knucklehead’s new bbq joint is a welcome addition.

Check it out.  Here’s how to get there.

[...] But let me just offer a piece of advice: When you’re sneaking around on someone, it’s best not to visit a restaurant they recommended, or you shouldn’t be surprised when you bump into them at lunch. [...]

It’s ok to sneak around and look at people who have intergity, do not owe any one a political favor or is young enough to see beyond the next five years. Doug Henry is out of it. He needs to know who is his competiton. Bob you may not want me on your team,I can be a loose cannon, but when a sitting Senator can sit and I mean sit as long as Henry has and then brag about an all-time high in the Rainy Day reserve fund, brags about Ethics Reform[it was needed because he sat by while others were stealing] even the simplest minded person on the street could figure that out and his biggest complaint was the FBI should not have named it the “Tennesse Waltz. He brags about the Elderly will get a chance to vote this November to allow for a freeze on property tax. Were has he been the past twenty years? Eldery people have been selling their homes for years because of cost. I know, I know, he has not taken his salary for years. I also know he hasen’t missed a meal in years, will maybe if the Belle Meade Country Club was closed he just might have. Oh, I forgot, he also gets a little feed when two or more people are gathered[Moose, American Legion, bithday party for a big shot and etc. Let me put it this way. If he thinks he can get a picture and a little publicty, he will be there.
Lets talk about his intergity. I am sure he is beyond reproach. It would appear to me however his presence is not rubbing off on his fellow politicans. No need to go into the Tenn. Waltz again. The record speaks for itself and Henry was sitting within spitting distance most of the time. Surly to goodness with his years of experince and his wisdom he had to know or at least he could have voiced an opinion. Its scary to think the good people would consider him again as a representive. It would not surprise me if the only vote Henry gives to the Democrate party is the vote for him self. I also do not understand why he has not voiced an opinon about House Speaker Naifeh's allowing representatives to vote for absent members. What a deal! Its beter than two for one at the local watering hole. Could it be that Henry has allowed his fellow Senators to vote while he is busy doing something else or has he voted more than once in the Senate for the same bill? Any one want to take bets on this one? Let's face it, his buddy Wilder has as much ability as Naifeh. I wonder if Henry is willing to make a statement on this issue?
Ok enough. By this time you should have figured out that this dude is no longer a Henry fan[used to be until he got to old, to complancent and out of touch with the people on the street that need his help].I have never talked to so many people who think it is past his time and he should give it up. This State needs people who can look out ten, twenty years. Henry is living in the past and he proably knows it. I hope he would decide not to run again, turn it over to a new fresh face with idea’s, engery, ability to adapt and who has the guts to stand up and say Yes/No to what is obvious.
Yes, I am ready for change. There is a saying”If things dont change, they remain the same.”
We must have change and I want it to start with a man who has had his time and it has now passed. It is time for Henry to do what is best for the State and give it up. The future can be bright and even brighter with a representive who can see into the future.Yes, I have know Henry for years. He might be a little older than me. I voted for him in the past, many times. I have retired. Its time for him to do the same. Opps, that’s another subject that I won’t get into. [excuse the poor sentence structure and spelling. If I write again, it won't be any better.]
