The one disappointment that Senator Kurita offered during yesterday’s luncheon was that she didn’t take the opportunity to denounce her indicted Democratic fellow Senators like Republicans in the House denounced Rep. Chris Newton.
It’s too bad that she didn’t condemn Senators Kathryn Bowers and Ward Crutchfield–especially after this little added bit of bad news for Bowers.
Imagine the gall of this woman. Earlier Bowers invited lobbyists to her "bail me out of jail" party, and now she boondoggles to "picturesque Puget Sound" even after her indictment. On top of that, Senate staffers may now have tried to hide the fact that she was even there. Remember, that this is the woman whose 18 taxpayer-funded trips in 2004 earned her the title, "the most heavily traveled state legislator" from The Commercial Appeal.
Jim Kyle, quoted in the Tennessean, accurately summarized Ms. Bowers: "This woman has no scruples."
